In the summer of 2022, amidst a gathering of their pianist friends, Xu Guo and Yutong Sun performed the enchanting Dolly Suite by the French composer Gabriel Fauré. This delightful collection of piano four-hand pieces is infused with innocent wonder, love, and imagination. Composed between 1893-1896, it serves as a musical treasure chest, capturing the precious childhood memories of Dolly, the daughter of Fauré’s mistress, Emma Bardac. This mini-album, released on Children’s Day in 2023, was recorded in Boston by Xu Guo and Yutong Sun.
